Everyone writes, but how can you turn that ability into a successful career? Alumni John Clark and Matt Hadro, both successful in the fields of book writing and journalism, discussed just that at the first “Life on Tap” networking event of the fall semester.

Clark, an author, political speechwriter, and weekly blogger for the National Catholic Register, and Hadro, the D.C. correspondent for Catholic News Agency, both shared their unique perspectives with close to a hundred students at the event, giving them tips for launching careers in writing and how they can use their time in college wisely in that regard.

Christendom’s “Life on Tap” events, hosted by the college’s career and leadership development office, give students the unique opportunity to learn how their liberal arts education can prepare them for any vocational calling after graduation, no matter how complex, by bringing back successful alumni from a variety of different fields to give talks and mentor students. Two more “Life on Taps” are scheduled for this fall: October 3 (Nursing/Counseling) and October 24 (Law school/Law).
