Dracula: just the name alone conjures up thoughts of Bram Stoker’s novel and Bela Lugosi’s legendary film performance in 1931. Now, audiences will be offered a new take on the legendary tale of good vs. evil, thanks to the Christendom Players. The college’s theatrical group will present their take on the classic story this coming weekend, November 17-19, at Warren Country High School.

“Dracula” will be performed November 17-19 (pictured: sophomore Samuel Morales).

The adapted play, based on the novel by Bram Stoker, is a thrilling, suspenseful story about the most famous vampire ever and those who seek to stop him. Featuring a cast of students from each class at Christendom, the performers will bring an intensity and depth to the story which has captivated readers and audiences for over a century.

Dracula has some scary moments, and is not recommended for children under 12. The performances are scheduled for November 17 and 18 at 8:00 p.m., and November 19 at 3 and 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. To reserve tickets, call 540-636-2900 ext. 1390 or 1327.
