Registration is now open for Christendom’s 2018 Padre Pio Full-Tuition Scholarship Competition. The highly-popular competition is accepting more applicants than ever this year, as students compete for the opportunity to win a four year, full-tuition academic scholarship at Christendom.

“Each year, Christendom’s time-tested education attracts some of the best and brightest students from across the country. This year, we’ve expanded the competition to allow more of these high-achieving students to be able to pursue this great scholarship opportunity,” says director of admissions Sam Phillips.

Participants in the scholarship competition will have a chance at attending Christendom for only the cost of room and board.

“Students are desirous for an education that will challenge them and set them on a path for greatness, in this life and the next. We cannot wait to welcome our scholarship competitors when they arrive on campus in March.”

The Padre Pio Full-Tuition Scholarship Competition is available to students with qualifying SAT, ACT, or CLT scores who have demonstrated a commitment to the pursuit of excellence throughout their high school career. This year, three full-tuition scholarships will be awarded, as well as five $5000 runners-up scholarships. All participants who do not receive a full-tuition scholarship or runners-up scholarship will be given a $1000 participation scholarship. All three of these scholarship levels are four-year renewable academic scholarships.

Students who participate in the competition will interview with a scholarship committee panel and will also write an essay based on a prompt given on the competition day. Following the competition, all participants and their parents will be invited to join the college community for a St. Patrick’s Day dinner and musical festivities led by college president Dr. Timothy O’Donnell.
