Junior Helena Briggs has been named the National Student-Athlete of the Year by the USCAA. Briggs, who plays both volleyball and basketball at Christendom, was recognized due to her outstanding performance both on the court and off.

Briggs is Christendom’s first National Student-Athlete of the Year.

This is Briggs’ first Student-Athlete of the Year award, but not her first award from the USCAA. She has been named to the USCAA Academic All-American team since her sophomore year of college. Along with her excellent GPA, she has achieved First Honors for five consecutive semesters, been voted junior class president, serves on the student presidential advisory council, and has helped off-campus on mission trips and more.

Christendom students are often awarded by the USCAA for their academic prowess, with multiple students named to as Academic All-Americans each year.

Christendom College admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
