Senator Rick Santorum will speak to students on March 19, as part of the college’s new “Outside the Box” speaker series. Santorum, who was a presidential candidate in 2012 and 2016, will begin his talk at 6:30 p.m. in the college’s St. Kilian’s Café. Refreshments will be provided, and the event is open to the public.

Santorum will be the first speaker for Christendom’s “Outside the Box” series.

Santorum is an American attorney, author, and politician. A member of the Republican Party, he served as a United States Senator representing Pennsylvania (1995–2007) and was the Senate’s third-ranking Republican (2001–07). He ran as a candidate for president in 2012, winning the Iowa Caucus and 12 other states, and ran again in 2016. He is also the father of current freshman, Peter Santorum.

The “Outside the Box” series invites influential and successful people to campus to talk to students about their careers, in order to give them insight and inspiration for their future.
