Christendom will welcome families to campus for three Open House events this fall, with the first coming on Monday, October 8 (Columbus Day), the second on Monday, November 12 (Veterans Day), and the third – a special Homeschool Visit Day – on Friday, October 26. Prospective students and their families will get a taste of the personalized attention, robust education, and vibrant culture that Christendom has to offer during these events, all while experiencing the Shenandoah in its most beautiful time of the year.
Each event begins with something unique: an introductory address from college president Dr. Timothy O’Donnell. Unlike other college visits, where families might meet a few students and professors, Christendom brings them into contact with the president, vice presidents, professors, and others during their time on campus. This gives families the chance to hear in-depth presentations, but also the ability to ask questions of the people in charge of the college and its various departments.
Following the introduction from the president, students and their families will learn about the various careers alumni go into after college, before students experience a Christendom class. While they are in class, parents will learn more about Christendom’s financial aid offerings and the importance of choosing a Catholic college.
All attendees will join the college community at Mass in Christ the King Chapel, followed by a catered lunch where they can mix and mingle with college faculty, staff, and students. The admissions department will offer a tour of campus, including the library and residence halls, to families, before finally retreating back to the college’s Regina Coeli hall for final presentations and a Q & A session.
Christendom’s Open House events are amongst the college’s most popular events every semester, with spots filling up fast. To reserve your spot today, please register at christendom.edu.
