Christendom College seized the #1 ranking in the nation in the final NSCRO Rugby 15s Top 30 Coaches Poll of 2018. The jump from #3 to #1 in the nation officially marks the highest ranking ever achieved by a Christendom sports program and sets the Crusaders up well for the National Championship Final Four this coming April.

The Crusaders finished the regular season with a 9-0 record in conference play, receiving five first place votes in the poll to make the leap to #1. Their dominant performance in the 2018 NSCRO Mid-Atlantic South Region Championship helped secure their new ranking, after they defeated #6 Loyola University 23-7 and #4 Catholic University of America 43-24.

With the regular season now in the books, the Crusader rugby team has officially completed their most successful 15s regular season in program history — an impressive achievement considering everything the program has accomplished in recent years, including a 7s National Championship in 2017.

The Crusaders will next play over the weekend of April 26 at the NSCRO 15s National Championship, at a location to be determined later.
