Christendom’s National Championship-bound rugby team will bring their prowess to the 53rd annual Cherry Blossom Rugby Tournament in Washington, DC, on April 6-7. The Crusaders will play many well-established teams, including Georgetown, Binghamton, SUNY Maritime and other teams, as they pursue the tournament trophy.

The Crusaders have competed in the Cherry Blossom Tournament for many consecutive years but have yet to win the whole tournament. They came closest in 2017, falling only to Ohio State in the final.

Last weekend, the Crusaders swept through the Washington & Lee Generals 7s tournament, earning their third-straight trip to the NCSRO 7s National Championship. The victory added another trophy to the ever-growing Christendom trophy case, along with Christendom rugby’s second National Championship berth of the 2018-19 season after earning a spot in the final four for 15s in the fall.

All games this weekend will take place at Rosecroft Raceway, located in Fort Washington, Maryland. For more information, please visit christendomathletics.com.
