Christendom College is offering 50% off graduate-level courses now for a limited time for new students. During this time of quarantine, the college is seeking to make Catholic theological formation more widely available, in order to help deepen Catholics’ understanding of the Faith and give them the confidence to share it with others.

With people at home and with more time on their hands, Dr. R.J. Matava, the dean of Christendom’s Graduate School, decided to reopen spring registration for interested Catholics along with extending this year’s special fiftieth anniversary discount for new students: 50% off the first two courses.

This special offer, which will last through May 15, gives new students the opportunity to dive deeper into the Catholic Faith at the graduate level, with courses such as History of the Church, Philosophy of God and Man, The Gospel of John, Apologetics, and Catholic Social Teachings all available under the special offer.

Students are able to apply casually or as a certificate or degree-seeking student. From there, they can attend class entirely online from the comfort of home at their own pace. The semester has been extended until July 31, making it more possible for students to finish courses on time and be enabled to share the Faith better with others as a result.

For many Catholics, finding an online distance education is appealing right now, but finding a place that is flexible, affordable, and faithful to the Catholic Faith can be a challenge. According to John S., however, interested students can feel confident that they will find what they are looking for at Christendom.

“I was unsure about the possibility of joining a Master’s program in Theology since I had a poor experience at another Catholic institution which was not flexible, rigorous, or even faithful to the Catholic teachings,” recalls John. “My professors have been personal, professional, and humble. The faculty and staff have been so encouraging and delightful to work with throughout the process. It has been a remarkable experience.”

Christendom’s Graduate School is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year. After faithfully teaching lay and religious Catholic students as the Notre Dame Institute for years, it merged with Christendom in 1997. Since then, the Graduate School has expanded to offer an online MA program, as well as a residential program for students during the summer months.

In the Graduate School’s 50 years, the institution has prepared students to better understand and defend the faith, manifesting the fruits of the education in diverse ways. Graduates of the program have brought their theological wisdom to educational apostolates, back to their religious orders, or out into the world.
