Christendom’s athletics department will host the college’s first Crusader Alumni Games weekend this coming April 16-18, 2021. The weekend, which will feature opportunities for competitions between alumni and current students in a variety of sports, is now open for registration.

Christendom has hosted alumni vs. students athletic matches in years past, but never so many over one weekend. For Athletic Director Patrick Quest, the weekend “offers the chance not only for friendly competition but for students to network with Crusader athletes of years past.”

The weekend will start on Friday, April 16, with an alumnae vs. students volleyball match in Crusader Gymnasium, before the action continues on Crusader Fields on Saturday, April 17. There, soccer alumni will take on current students respectively in back-to-back men’s and women’s soccer matches, before rugby alumni take on current students to close the afternoon.

On Saturday evening, registered alumni, students, and friends of Christendom will attend a Crusader Network Reception at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club, before the weekend closes at nearby Bing Crosby Fields on Sunday, April 18, with back-to-back baseball and softball games.

Christendom’s athletics department has worked hard this academic year to offer games for the college’s varsity teams, after so many games were cancelled due to COVID-19. These matches give students another great opportunity to compete, in what will be the final matches for some current students.

Registration is now open for the entirety of the weekend, including tickets for the Crusader Network Reception and sponsorship opportunities as well. While families are welcome at the games, the Crusader Network Reception is only open to registered adults.
