Christendom will welcome alumni back to campus for the college’s annual Homecoming Weekend, to be held this year on October 1-3. The three-day event, which will feature spiritual, social, athletic, and academic activities for alumni and their families, is now open for registration through September 26.
The weekend will kick off on Friday, October 1, with a community Holy Hour in the college’s Christ the King Chapel from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by a special Quodlibet and social event in St. John the Evangelist Library. Featuring a select panel of Christendom faculty, alumni will be able to ask questions of the panel and mix and mingle with students, faculty, and staff.
On Saturday, an alumni family fun day will be held from 12-5:00 p.m. on college’s Campion Field, with games, face-painting, and more available for alumni and their families. Varsity sports games will take place at the same time across the street on Crusader Fields, with men’s and women’s soccer playing back-to-back games.
In the evening, class reunions will finally be held for the Classes of 1980, 1990, 2000, and 2010 after they were cancelled last year. They will join the classes of 1981, 1991, 2001, and 2011 in celebrations from 5-8:00 pm in St. Louis the Crusader Gymnasium, with the Warren H. Carroll Alumni Reception taking place right after from 8:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m.
While this event is taking place, the Student Homecoming Dance will be hosted in the St. Lawrence Commons from 7:00 p.m. -1:00 a.m., with alumni invited to attend.
Sunday will begin with 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Mass in Christ the King Chapel, with an optional brunch available in St. Lawrence Commons at 11:15 a.m. The fun-filled weekend will come to an end with the annual East vs. West football game at 2-4:00 p.m. on Crusader Fields.
