One winning streak ends, another begins. Christendom’s women’s basketball team saw their seven-game winning streak snapped this week but bounced right back, picking up their fourteenth win on Saturday against Regent University.

The team’s dominating run, which saw them go more than a month without a loss, finally came to an end against Apprentice on Tuesday, with the team coming up short 88-53. Catherine Thomas still put up a 22-12 double-double in the loss against the conference opponent.

On Saturday, the team returned to St. Louis the Crusader Gymnasium looking to immediately bounce back. Taking on Regent University, Christendom set the tone from the jump, going up 16-4 in the first quarter. From there, they continued to pile on, throwing up lopsided frames in each quarter the rest of the way. The team ultimately won 76-25, putting Christendom back in the win column and giving them their fourteenth win of the season.

In the win, Thomas again shined, scoring 27 points and putting up 15 rebounds. She continues to lead the USCAA in points, sitting at second in PPG, RPG, and third in defensive rebounds.
