The women’s soccer team is off to a historic start to their season, winning their first three games — two of them by shutout. Led by Catherine Thomas, who currently the USCAA in total goals, points, and shots by a healthy margin, the team headed on the road to Penn State Mont Alto for their fourth game of the season. Within ten minutes, the Crusaders were in the lead, thanks, once again, to Thomas, who scored the game’s first goal unassisted. Twenty minutes later, Theresa Luckey scored — her third goal of the season — to bring the Christendom lead to 2-0. Gracie Russo scored unassisted near the end of the first half, which proved to be enough. Both teams’ defenses took over from there, but the game was already decided: 3-0 in favor of Christendom.
The win marked their fourth of the season and their third straight shutout. The team will next play Wilson College on the road on Monday, September 11.
