Christendom’s Instaurare magazine was named a Platinum Winner in the prestigious MarCom Awards, as announced by the organization earlier this week. Christendom was recognized alongside huge international creative agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and other institutes of higher education — a testament to the concept, direction, design, and production of the college’s magazine.

Instaurare, the official magazine of Christendom College, has received acclaim for years for its stories, design, and production quality, with the MarCom Award serving as the most prominent recognition yet of the magazine. The MarCom Awards, one of the oldest, largest, and most respected creative competitions in the world, are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals “whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry,” according to MarCom. The award was specifically given to the Summer 2023 issue of the magazine, which covered the dedication of the college’s new Christ the King Chapel and more.

MarCom awards winners either Gold or Platinum Awards, with Platinum representing the highest honor from the organization. Christendom was recognized alongside numerous other organizations, including Bank of America, Burger King, Cornell, Loyola Marymount, Mastercard, PepsiCo, SEGA, the University of Texas, and the U.S. Army.

Created by the college’s Marketing and Communications Office, Instaurare is published three times a year and is mailed free of charge to alumni, families, prospective students, donors, and friends of the college. The name comes from the college’s motto, “Instaurare omnia in Christo,” or, “To restore all things in Christ.” Niall O’Donnell is the Editor & Layout Designer, Zach Smith is the Assistant Editor, and Julie Wells is the Assistant Designer and Illustrator.
