Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, will be a keynote speaker at Christendom’s annual Homeschool Visit Day, which will take place on Saturday, October 12. This event, geared specifically for homeschooled students and their families, but open to other students, will allow prospective students and their families to more deeply understand how Christendom is a natural fit for homeschooled students.
Roberts, one of the leading voices in the conservative movement today and a homeschool dad, will give insights into why he saw Christendom as the best choice for his son, Philip, a Christendom sophomore.
Roberts has been the president of the Heritage Foundation since 2021, following his time as the CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. A lifelong educator, Roberts previously taught history at the collegiate level and also founded John Paul the Great Academy, a Catholic liberal arts school in Louisiana. He left the academy in 2013 to become president of Wyoming Catholic College, a role he held until 2016.
“We are honored to have Dr. Roberts joining us for our Homeschool Visit Day,” says Director of Admissions Sam Phillips. “With his distinguished background as a leader in both Catholic education and public policy and as a Christendom parent, he offers a unique perspective on the role and relevance of Christendom’s education in modern American society. We are confident that our attendees will enjoy and benefit greatly from his remarks.”
In addition to hearing from Roberts, attendees will hear talks from college president George A. Harne, Ph.D., VP for Enrollment Tom McFadden, and Director of Admissions Sam Phillips, tour Christendom’s beautiful 200-acre campus, attend a sample class with a Christendom professor, and mingle with students.
