Christendom’s VP for Enrollment and Student Success, Tom McFadden, will offer a talk during the Cardinal Newman Society’s Virtual College Fair on October 9. The event, which is offered for free, will give prospective students and their families the opportunity to hear from renowned speakers, chat with admissions representatives, and more.

McFadden will launch this year’s Cardinal Newman Society Virtual College Fair, offering the first talk of the day at 1:00 p.m EDT. During his talk, McFadden will speak on “How to Plan for Your Career and Vocation,” offering tips for prospective students as they prepare for college and life following it.

McFadden, a certified career coach, has a wealth of knowledge about career discernment during college, and teaches students the process of career exploration each year at Christendom. Additionally, having a son who discerned his calling to the priesthood and a number of other children who have discerned marriage, he has some valuable insights for college-aged students.

Following McFadden’s talk, there will be opportunities to explore the Virtual College Fair expo floor, which will feature more information on Christendom, along with the chance to speak with admissions representatives to learn more about the school. Later in the day, there will be talks from other speakers including Cardinal Newman Society President Patrick Reilly and his wife, Rosario, who have a child enrolled at Christendom.

Christendom has been recommended by the Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College since the guide’s beginnings, with the Cardinal Newman Society saying that Christendom “demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to faithful education and formation, refusing to compromise on things like opposite-sex visitation in residences and accepting government aid. Christendom is relatively small but a good size for maintaining a close-knit community, attending to students by name, and preserving fidelity and excellence among the faculty.” Christendom has also received the coveted “gold” rating from the Newman Guide in every Catholic Identity Special Recognition category.

Christendom recently launched its 2024-25 academic year, with demand higher than ever for a Christendom education. A waiting list of qualified students was implemented for the fourth straight year, with the college welcoming 173 new students to campus.
