Christendom College will welcome back alumna music star Marie Miller to campus on Friday, October 11, for a special concert inspired by her new album, The Way of Love.
The Way of Love follows Miller’s acclaimed 2020 album Little Dreams, with her latest album drawing inspiration from the 19th-century French Carmelite St. Therese of Lisieux’s theology of the Little Way. Miller’s concert this weekend will blend song and spoken word, aiming to instill in the student body a greater trust in the merciful and transformative love of God.
During her concert, Miller will perform a mix of hymns and original songs, with each piece selected to present a particular aspect of St. Thérèse’s spirituality. Miller will infuse stories and reflections between songs to illuminate their lyrical messages and help the audience connect with God at a deeper level.

Miller has released multiple albums and singles, including top hit “6’2,” with over 3 million streams on Spotify. As a live performer, Miller has opened for the Backstreet Boys, The Wallflowers, toured with Five for Fighting, and headlined shows across the country. In 2015, Miller performed globally at the Festival of Families for Pope Francis, sharing the main stage with Mark Wahlberg, Andrea Bocelli, and Aretha Franklin.
Over the years, Miller has sought to weave together music, humor, and storytelling to convey God’s love and mankind’s opportunity to share that love with others.
When speaking about how Christendom impacted her music and helped lead her to her success, Miller shared: “Having that liberal arts education at Christendom was so important for me in developing my mind and heart, through the amazing time at Mass and through all the classes. The reason why I’m doing music is because I think of it as a vocation. Even if I’m playing at a regular, secular music venue, the goal in mind is…to bring people closer to God. There’s a lot of bad art out there, so I believe it’s important that good people are in art to influence it for the better.”
The Way of Love event will be held Friday, October 11, from 7:30-9:00 pm, in the Christendom’s Regina Coeli Hall. The event is free, and all students, faculty, and staff are welcome.
