Christendom College’s Athletics Department announced on Monday, October 21, the college’s winter basketball schedule, which begins November 9 and November 13 for the men’s and women’s teams. This year’s schedules will feature numerous premier matchups, as the college’s varsity basketball teams aim to exceed last year’s great successes — including a National Championship win for the women’s basketball team.

Most notably, the 2024-25 winter schedule sees several exciting matchups for Christendom’s basketball teams, including: the men’s basketball team taking on NCAA DIII Valley Forge in their home opener on November 9, followed by a game on the road against NCAA DI VMI on November 12; the women’s basketball team playing their home opener against conference rival Bucks County on November 16; both teams taking on Manor at home on February 15; the men’s team closing out their season at home versus Bucks County on February 25; and the women’s team closing out their season at home against Hagerstown on February 26.

Those marquee matchups lead the way for full sports schedules for each team, with the regular season wrapping up on February 26. All eyes will especially be on the women’s basketball team following their stunning National Championship win this past March. Senior phenom Catherine Thomas, who was named USCAA National Championship tournament MVP, will look to lead the league in scoring once again this season, while rising star Mary Pennefather will aim to exceed her incredible debut season last year, which saw her right behind Thomas in points per game and total points scored.
