Christendom’s Class of 2025 will present the college’s annual Mystery Dinner Theater on April 25–27. The student-written and directed show, titled The Game’s Afoot in Gun-Barrel City: How Many Crimes Can One Town Hold?, will begin at 7:00 p.m. each night in Christendom’s St. Lawrence Commons.

Written and directed by seniors Helen Davis, Erin McLaughlin, and Johnny Gunthorpe, this year’s show promises to entertain and engage audiences as they try to solve a murder mystery alongside the cast. Audience members will enjoy a full-course dinner while interacting with the actors, collecting clues, and even competing for prizes throughout the evening.

Director Erin McLaughlin ’25, who also directed last year’s performance, is excited for attendees to experience the results of the cast and crew’s months of preparation.

“Mystery Dinner Theater is a unique experience compared to any other event on campus,” says McLaughlin. “While the audience is eating, the actors are not only performing but also moving through the crowd and interacting with guests. It’s also our biggest senior class fundraiser, supporting a great cause.”

All proceeds from Mystery Dinner Theater will go toward the Senior Class Gift, which this year will help fund the construction of a new Our Lady of Lourdes grotto on campus.

On Saturday and Sunday, doors open at 7:00 p.m., with a three-course dinner provided in the cost of admission. Ticket prices for the Saturday and Sunday performances are $200 for a table of eight adults. Full table purchases in advance will receive reserve priority seating, while the rest of the seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The remaining tickets will be available at the door as individual tickets for $30 a person.

There will also be a Friday night dress rehearsal performance on April 25 at 7:00 p.m. offered at a reduced rate of $5 a ticket, with dinner not included.
