Christendom College’s Athletics Department has unveiled its action-packed fall sports schedule, with all varsity teams set to begin their seasons the weekend of August 29–30. Each team is aiming to build on last year’s momentum in what promises to be a thrilling season of competition.

This year’s schedule features marquee matchups across the board, reflecting Christendom’s determination to surpass last season’s accomplishments and make a statement in the USCAA and in National Collegiate Rugby.

The men’s rugby team, coming off a strong 2024 campaign with a seasoned core and high expectations, will open the season against James Madison University on August 29. On September 6, they will welcome Franciscan University of Steubenville for the annual Shield Rugby Match. The Crusaders will next host the College of William & Mary on September 27, followed by home games against the University of Virginia on October 4 and Virginia Commonwealth University on October 11.

On the field, the men’s soccer team is eager to bounce back from the 2024 season and reestablish itself as a serious contender in the USCAA and the Eastern States Athletic Conference (ESAC). They’ll open against Penn State Mont Alto on August 30, followed by their home opener versus Williamson on September 6. That game kicks off a six-game home stand, including matchups with Regent and Central Penn, culminating in a rematch with Mont Alto on September 27. The team will face PSU Greater Allegheny on October 4 and will wrap up their regular season in a high-stakes USCAA Tournament Qualifier against PSU New Kensington on October 15.

On the women’s side, the women’s soccer team heads into 2025 with high expectations after finishing as national runners-up last season. They’ll begin against Penn State Mont Alto on August 30, then play their home opener versus Bucks County on September 13. A challenging away game against NCAA DIII rival Mary Baldwin awaits on September 24, before two key home games — PSU New Kensington on October 4 and Johnson & Wales on October 11 — close out their regular season.

Meanwhile, the women’s volleyball team returns after a competitive 2024 season with a young but talented lineup. They’ll start with back-to-back major events: the USCAA Tip-Off Classic on August 29–30 (three games), followed by the Royals Round-Up Classic the next weekend, where they’ll face three NCAA Division III opponents. A home tournament qualifier against Penn State Mont Alto is scheduled for September 9, and they’ll host DIII Hollins University on September 23.

The men’s and women’s cross-country teams will travel the Mid-Atlantic this fall, beginning at the Westmoreland County Invitational on August 29. They’ll compete next at Bridgewater College on September 20, followed by Shenandoah University on September 27, and Gettysburg College on October 18. With a mix of experienced runners and emerging talent, both teams are aiming for standout performances this season.

These marquee matchups lead the way for full sports schedules for each team, with all fall seasons concluding by the end of October.
