Christendom’s Class of 2026 presented the college’s annual Mystery Dinner Theater this past weekend, with students performing Humphries’s Travel Agency: Let Us Help You Plan Your Next Murder. Performed over three evenings, the production was a resounding success, raising over $10,000 for the senior class gift.

A long-standing tradition at Christendom, Mystery Dinner Theater is one of the most anticipated student-run events of the year, with seniors writing, directing, and producing the show. This year’s production was directed by senior Therese Sullivan, who led a talented cast in bringing a script written by fellow seniors Isabel Marie Auclair, Ben Tutwiler, and Sullivan herself to life.

The production required weeks of rehearsals, coordination, and behind-the-scenes planning, with students managing everything from scripting and staging to logistics and audience engagement. The result was a lively performance filled with strong acting, clever improvisation from the actors — often generating some of the biggest laughs of the night — and unexpected humor that kept audiences engaged throughout the evening.

Set in a seemingly ordinary travel agency where secrets abound, the production invited attendees to solve a series of murders as the story unfolded. During the show’s two intermissions, audience members interacted with cast members and purchased clues to identify the culprit in hopes of winning a cash prize. The interactive format created a lively and immersive atmosphere, as audience members became part of the story, working together to piece together clues and solve the mystery before the final reveal. Through a combination of ticket sales, clue purchases, and concessions, this year’s Mystery Dinner Theater raised over $10,000, all of which will support the senior class gift.

The senior class gift is an annual tradition, with each graduating class raising funds to help beautify campus, including projects such as an Our Lady of Lourdes grotto, the Crusader Fields scoreboard, and the completion of Christ the King Chapel. These gifts serve as lasting contributions to campus life, allowing each graduating class to leave a tangible mark on Christendom for future students.
