Greg Monroe, the director of the career and leadership development office, will host all the Life on Tap events.

The career and leadership development office of Christendom College will be kicking off its spring semester series of “Life on Tap” events on Tuesday, January 27, with talks from two Christendom College alumni who have found great success in the field of business management – Tim Halisky and Jake Meza.  The event will be held in St. Kilian’s Café from 7:30-9:30 p.m., with snacks and beverages provided.

Alumnus Tim Halisky earned his B.A. in history and was the senior class president of his graduating class in 2001.  Following graduation, Halisky worked for 3 years for insurance company Lighthouse Underwriters where he was a producer for Lighthouse Eldercare, located in the Northern Virginia area.  He then became vice president of sales and marketing for another insurance company, K&B Underwriters, where he spent 7 years helping the company to succeed. In 2011, Halisky became president of RLA Mid-Atlantic Insurance Intermediaries, a wholesale broker focusing on the insurance and risk management needs of retail agents serving the healthcare industry including Senior Living facilities, Allied Healthcare, Physicians, and Hospitals.

Jake Meza, a 2005 Political Science and Economics major, is the director of physician support, urgent care & occupational health at Valley Health Hospital Systems in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Prior to his work with Valley Health, Meza was the executive director of GTM Medical Consulting in Richmond, Virginia. Following graduation from Christendom, he earned his M.B.A. from Benedictine College in Kansas, where he served as a residence director.
