Saturday is a packed day for Christendom Athletics. The rugby team, the men’s soccer team, and the women’s soccer team will all be playing home games.

The rugby team’s home opener will be played at 11:00am against Hampden-Sydney. Last Saturday, the rugby team crushed Virginia Commonwealth with a 59-5 win. Fueled by this victory, the team is ready to bring their a-game on Saturday. During the spring of ‘19, the team nabbed second place at the NSCRO 15s National Championship in Albany, NY. They also won fourth place at the 7s National Championship in Philadelphia. It will be exciting to see what the rugby team achieves this year.

The women’s soccer team will be playing Warren Wilson College at 1:00pm on Crusader field. The women’s team is already having an exceptional season, and their current record stands at 5-1. This week, freshman athlete Christine McLaughlin (15) was named Player of the Week by USCAA. It will be exciting to see her, and all of her talented teammates, take the field by storm on Saturday.

At 3:00pm, the men’s soccer team will play their 5thgame of the season against Central Penn. The team’s record for the season is currently 1-3. On Tuesday, the team won 3-2 win against Potomac State College of WVU. The Christendom community is excited to see them play at home again on Saturday.
