The women’s volleyball team returned home on Saturday, looking to bounce back after a tough 3-0 loss to Hagerstown on the road on Wednesday. With their backs against the wall, the team began to crawl back, winning the third set decisively to force a fourth set.
Frederick fought hard in the fourth set, but Christendom — led by Ross and Heisler — managed to hold them off to win 25-23, forcing a fifth set to decide the game. Here, Christendom shined brightest, holding Frederick to just nine points. The team won 15-9, taking the fifth set — and the game — in a stunning comeback victory. The win marked the team’s fifth on the season, putting them at a 5-8 record. They will next play in a tri-match at Appalachian Bible on Saturday, September 30.
