Christendom College’s Graduate School of Theology is the first to be recommended by the newly expanded Newman Guide, joining the college’s undergraduate education in being recognized for uniting faith and reason while striving to be faithfully Catholic.

The Cardinal Newman Society’s Newman Guide, which has recognized faithful Catholic colleges in the U.S. and abroad for the past 16 years, expanded to include Catholic elementary, secondary, and graduate school options for Catholic families this past spring. Christendom’s Graduate School of Theology is the first, and currently only, graduate school to be recommended by the Newman Guide.

“In the right graduate program, students can pursue an advanced education while being immersed in a truly Catholic environment,” says Kelly Salomon, vice president of Newman Guide programs at The Cardinal Newman Society. “This is great news for Catholic families and for the future of the Church.”

Christendom’s Graduate School of Theology offers masters-level courses with a comprehensive grasp of the Catholic faith, preparing students for advanced graduate studies and for various ministries in the Catholic Church. Its flexible and accommodating studies allows students of all ages and from all over the world to attend either part-time or full-time on Christendom’s Front Royal, Virginia campus, year-round, summers-only, or winters-only, and also to study at a distance through our online courses.

Christendom has been honored as a Newman Guide College since the first guide was published in 2007, thanks to the college’s commitment to the Magisterium in its educational practices and student life policies. According to the Cardinal Newman Society, colleges are not recommended lightly, but only after a careful review, making a recommendation a sure sign of a college’s faithfulness for prospective students and their families.
