Renowned scholars and authors Cardinal Robert Sarah, Patrick Madrid, and George Weigel will headline Christendom’s 2024 Summer Consortium, which will take place June 14-16 on Christendom’s Front Royal, Virginia, campus. Focusing on the topic, “Preserving the Legacy of St. John Paul II,” the event will be open to the college’s President’s Council and Legacy Society members.

Christendom’s popular Summer Consortium provides attendees with an intellectual and spiritual journey that represents the height of the Christendom College experience. This year’s consortium will be no different, with Cardinal Sarah, Madrid, Weigel, college President Dr. Timothy O’Donnell, and members of the college’s faculty leading stimulating discussions surrounding the legacy of St. John Paul II.

The event will take place over the course of three days, beginning with a welcome reception, dinner, and keynote address from Weigel on Friday evening. On Saturday, attendees will begin the day with a lecture from Christendom’s Dr. Joseph Arias, before attending Mass celebrated by Cardinal Sarah and head chaplain Fr. Marcus Pollard in the college’s new Christ the King Chapel. Following lunch, lectures will be delivered by Christendom’s Dr. Owen Vyner and Dr. Dan McInerny, before Dr. O’Donnell leads a seminar discussion to close the afternoon.

In the evening, attendees will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before listening to Cardinal Sarah’s keynote address over dinner. On Sunday, the consortium will close with Mass in Christ the King Chapel followed by brunch and closing remarks.

Registration for the conference includes all lectures, seminars, listed receptions, and farm-to-table meals catered by award-winning Chef Donald Higby.
