Christendom College President George A. Harne, Ph.D., has released a new episode of the Christendom Conversations podcast, featuring a compelling discussion with famed author and Chesterton expert Dale Ahlquist. Together, they explore the enduring wisdom of G.K. Chesterton, the role of beauty in education, and Chesterton’s profound insights into human nature and the Catholic imagination.
Dale Ahlquist is widely recognized as one of the foremost authorities on the life and work of G.K. Chesterton. He serves as President of the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton and is the creator and host of the EWTN television series The Apostle of Common Sense. A prolific writer, he is the author of eight books, the editor of sixteen more, and the Publisher of Gilbert magazine. Renowned biographer Joseph Pearce has called Ahlquist “probably the greatest living authority on the life and work of G.K. Chesterton.”
Ahlquist is also the co-founder of Chesterton Academy, a classical Catholic high school in Hopkins, Minnesota, which has become the model for the rapidly growing Chesterton Schools Network. Today, the network includes more than 70 schools across the United States and in nine other countries.
In addition to his podcast appearance, Ahlquist also recently joined Christendom for its “Beauty and Truth” summer conference in June, serving as one of the keynote speakers for the popular conference.
This marks the seventh episode of Christendom Conversations, following July’s episode featuring renowned composer Frank La Rocca, who discussed his powerful musical and spiritual journey — from his early studies in music to his shift into composing, and the moments of personal crisis that ultimately led to his conversion to Catholicism.
Christendom Conversations is part of Christendom College’s expanding podcast network, offering listeners and viewers rich engagement with the Catholic intellectual tradition. Through in-depth interviews with Catholic scholars and cultural leaders, the podcast explores timeless questions and enduring truths. New episodes are released monthly.
